This is Tonner’s 16″ Mei Li doll, part to the Tyler Wentworth series, the flagship 16″ doll which ran until Tonner closed in 2018. Tonner was known for designing high quality vinyl dolls, with a painstaking eye for detail. Tyler and her cohorts set the standard for other 16 fashion dolls, with articulated elbows and knees and a wardrobe full of luxury fabrics such as silk, linen and cashmere. Other 16 doll outfits such as those by the Franklin Mint, All About Eve, or Madame Alexander’s Alex should also fit her body sculpt. This is the “Sheer Beauty” doll, released in 2002 as a limited edition of 2000 pieces. It features Mei Li in a rose pink formal gown with a multi tiered ruffled skirt and a long chiffon shawl. It’s accessorized by a rhinestone necklace and strappy heeled sandals. All pictures are of the actual item that you will be receiving, even the ones with her out of her box. She’s a very photogenic doll and I had fun taking pictures of her before I put her away.
