1997 First convention Llimited Edition Tonner 14 Betsy McCall Sailor doll for Modern Doll Convention. Very Hard to Find! SIGNED by ROBERT TONNER at this great convention in San Diego, 1997. Limited Edition of only 100 dolls. She is clean and smoke free. This is an early issue Betsy doll and like all the early dolls needed the rubber band stringing replaced. I sent her to the Tonner factory hospital to have her. She came back strung perfectly tight using a strong stringing elastic cord (not rubber bands like before). She solidly holds her poses. Beautiful Tonner Ellowyne Wilde 16 Doll with Dark Brown Hair. Her joints still move well and she has a nice clean body. She has short brown hair and unique brown/yellow eyes. Her shoes have lost the heels on them. She is wearing an Asian inspired outfit. She has a faux leather belt, pants, top, and red coat. The coat has stained her arms slightly. I couldn’t find a tag in the outfit. The necklace elastic seems a little weak. It may need restrung in the future. The lovely little purse completes the look. Her little French manicure on her nails is such a cute detail I took some pics of the arms. It is just a little visible but I did want to mention it. Our inventory is always changing. 16″ Ashton Drake Gene Doll “Red Venus Beautiful Redhead & Dress Pristine condition. Usherette, & The Kiss. 1995 doll designed by Mel Odom in the style of a 1940s movie star. This is one of the first Gene dolls designed by Mel Odom for Ashton Drake. Red Venus is wearing a striking red gown with a ruffled boa wrap, matching shoes, and a necklace. It is in the original box and packaging and includes the original certificates. Original shipper box included, too!
