This is Tonner’s 16″ Tyler Wentworth doll, the flagship 16″ doll which ran until Tonner closed in 2018. Tonner was known for designing high quality vinyl dolls, with a painstaking eye for detail. She set the standard for other 16 fashion dolls, with articulated elbows and knees and a wardrobe full of luxury fabrics such as silk, linen and cashmere. Other 16 doll outfits such as those by the Franklin Mint, All About Eve, or Madame Alexander’s Alex should also fit her body sculpt. This is the “Party of the Season” doll, released in 1999 as a limited edition of 2500 pieces. It features Tyler in a striped spring green formal ensemble with gold lace overlay and trim. It’s accessorized by a rhinestone brooch and necklace, and strappy gold heels. I don’t believe she has ever been displayed. The doll’s hair is well styled and her clothing shows no signs of fading or damage. All pieces appear to be present. The box has some cosmetic damage to the surface from storage but is otherwise sturdy and in decent shape. Paper elements may have some discoloration. Some artificial materials or elastics might have degraded over time but were not tested.
