This Robert Tonner Wizard of Oz Oz Gala Outfit is a rare and highly sought-after. With a stunning pastel brocade gown and bolero encrusted with pearls, beads and sequins. The full length gown of pastel brocade is strapless with pearls, sequins and beads on an overlay of laces on brocade that is labor intensive with a bolero that is long sleeved to a point at the wrist and lined in white with a big standup ruffled collar, matching beaded head piece, matching big necklace, gold ribboned staff and gold sparkly high heeled pumps, pantyhose. This is a simply beautiful Tonner Airways from Robert Tonner. This doll is very difficult to find now, she is dated 1999 on her stamped body. The doll is simply beautiful, with elegant beautifully hand-painted face details, and has a beaded layered bun hairstyle and shiny dark hair. The doll is dressed in the Tonner Airways uniform that includes: hat, lined jacket, lined pencil skirt, faux pearls necklace, black shoes, and fishnet stockings. This is an outfit designed by Robert Tonner for his 16 Brenda Starr reporter from Dale Messicks comic strip from about the 1940’s character made in 2003 NRFB made of a sheer black fabric over black satiny bodice of incredible detail, Sheer long cuffed sleeves, drop shoulders and rushed satin all the way down to the knees where a generous ruffle begins, a rhinestone brooch on one shoulder, matches the earring and bracelet, sheer nude pantyhose, black scrappy high heels and to top it off a Chanel style wide brimmed hat! All in the original box that has some shelf wear.
