1996 Tonner 12 Betsy McCall Doll Near Minty in Box with Extra Outfits # BET001
This cutie looks great & appears to be in near minty overall condition. The painted facial features don’t show any wear. To any part of body or garments she’s wearing. The outfit is very cute with no tears, or repairs visible. I don’t believe she was ever displayed. I did undress her & found 1 small soil spot under her arm- shown in closeup. This jointed hard vinyl doll measures approx. 12 tall & would make a fantastic addition to your collection! Box does show some wear &minor soil. HANG TAG & booklet Are INCLUDED. Also included is her “Back to School” outfit which has no damage but her white blouse looks soiled. Also included is the pink & white romper which looks minty + a 2nd catalog booklet. Tonner Betsy Mcall 14 Doll & 9 Tonner Outfits
This is 14 Betsy McCall by Robert Tonner, 9 outfits Tonner designed for her and several pairs of shoes, tights and underwear that I’m almost certain was also designed for her but I’m not sure which outfits they go with. The first two outfits I believe are complete, the other ones are missing one or another piece, mostly hair bows. The outfits are in very good condition, some might need a little touch up with an iron. Betsy is in very good condition with a small discoloration at one of her ankles. I’ve included a close-up photo. I dressed Betsy up in some of these outfits and displayed her and then she and the clothes have been stored away in my smoke-free home. This is a 14 Robert Tonner Betsy McCall doll. She has the “Just Betsy” style BMC0201 box and is wearing the original chemise underneath but was redressed in the outfit All Dressed Up. She comes with box, booklet and hang tag but not the stand. This doll is from a pet-free, smoke free collector’s house. The doll is used, but in good condition. Here is a mint in box 29 Betsy McCall by Robert Tonner, wearing the Ahoy Matey outfit. She has red hair and blue eyes, sailor dress and hat, and matching white socks and red shoes. She has never been removed from her original box, which is clearly marked. She also has all the original packaging including hairnet, bubble wrap around hands, box tissue and booklets. Tonner only offered these for a short time and the Ahoy Matey outfit is rarely seen. I bought her when they came out but have no place to display her so I figured someone else would love her! These dolls are very well made and extremely true to the original large Betsy from the 1960’s.
