Here we have Captain Jack Sparrow from Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean played by the talented Johnny Depp. This doll is very well made from the the intricate clothing and hair beading to his well sculpted face that captures the captains likeness. The Hair is textured in the messy pirate fashion with braiding mixed in through out his hair and decorated with beading to match the jewels from the actual character. His goatee is also fashioned with such beading. A long red head scarf is used as a bandana and purposefully distressed. Atop, he can wear his iconic thick faux leather hat. Underneath his overwear is a long sleeve low cut pirate white cream linen shirt with puffy sleeves ending in cuffs. Overtop this is a lined vest fitted with small button detailing and pocket details, the material is slightly shiny and brocade looking. And to complete the look is his lined and detailed gray captain coat with small button details lining the front, cuffs, pockets and back. Adorned around his waist is a purposefully distressed long white and red scarf as well as a faux leather belt and gun holster carrying his gun accessory as shown. As well as his gun holster is his faux leather sword holster wrapped around his right shoulder, carrying the sword accessory as shown. All belts are adorned with a real belt buckle as well. His “breeches” are a a thicker grey linen and cuff around the calves with a clasp. His suede-like boots are very nice with a ripple like texture around the calf part of the boot. The soles are solid and well built as well. Around his left hand is his signature emerald ring and a faux leather glove, tied around that with two faux leather strands his a woven sleeve that comes up to about his mid forearm. Jack is articulated at the. Neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, chest, hips, knees and ankles. Some minor flaws of the doll is the brown faux leather for his gun holster and glove are starting to wear with the glove wear as shown in the picture as well as around the Bottom thumb and where the woven sleeve is tied, the ties of the sleeve are also showing wear. The other flaw is the sword which has a crack in the middle but is glued and has a clear plastic tape coating for durability. Overall with the characters already rugged look, these minor flaws don’t distract from his super detailed and well put together look. This doll is clean and comes from a non-smoking home.
