In celebration of its sponsorship of the 2006 Nutcracker Family Benefit supporting New York City Ballet and its official school, the School of American Ballet, Robert Tonner is proud to present his first collaboration with New York City Ballet to bring you an exquisite ballerina doll of exceptional design and articulated movement. Your special ballerina is approximately 16 tall and crafted of high quality vinyl and hard plastic with multiple articulated joints for authentic ballet posing; her hair is rooted with soft saran fiber and she features hand-painted face details. Dolls are sculpted with stationary’en pointe’ feet (note: this ballerina doll was made with the standard Tyler bustline). The set came with the dressed ballerina and two additional costumes, each inspired by actual costumes used by NYCB, including the Sugar Plum Fairy from George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, designed by Karinska. Includes ballerina doll, outfits as shown and a display stand. Last 4 pictures are the Tonner catalog photos. The outfits can actually be worn by Tonner ballerina dolls with either bustline since they were made for the larger bust. A tip: the clear elastic Tonner used to hold up bodices and hold on hats is holding up OK on these but it gets brittle with age and breaks easily. Just pull a piece through the same place the broken piece was with a large darning or tapestry needle and knot the ends! If you have questions, please ask me. The box weighs 2 lb 2 oz and is 20 x 8 x 8. If you want it repacked in another larger box, ask me and wait to pay until I can repack it and send a new invoice.
