This gorgeous classy Tonner doll is in excellent condition. She is called “Taking a letter” Monica Merrill. She was made in 2009 and is limited edition of 500. Her hair is perfect and her limbs all pose perfectly. She does not come with a stand. She is 16 and only has one small unnoticeable flaw I identified on her cheek. When the light shines on it a specific way you can see a faint shine. See photos taken from various angles. She will come with the limited edition excellent condition outfit. There were 500 made. It is a outfit from 2009 white gold damask. The outfit is almost perfect aside from two very small threads on back (see photo). She is absolutely stunning.

Originally a Tonner 16″ Monica Merrill, I have reinvented her into the Victorian “Mylene (meaning’Dark’). She is dressed in an 1870’s Ball Gown, in shades of black, apricot, gold, copper, with apricot accents. The last photo shows her companion, (“Leora”, meaning’light’) in an additional listing. Auburn genuine mohair wig, in the 1870’s style. Original plastic eyes removed. Agate soft glass eyes were inserted, & applied upper eyelashes. Original factory paint removed, repainted, blushed, and sealed with Golden acrylics. Both original hands removed, and replaced with Deja Vu hands. Lace trimmed petticoat, bustle, pantaloons, and stockings. Black side button boots. Bustle skirt in lined apricot cotton, edged with satin pleats. Embroidered lace flounces in black, apricot, gold, & copper. Organza ribbon trims, with silk ribbon and fabric flowers. Matching overskirt with pleats. Lined bodice has a hand beaded embroidered applique, pleats, fabric flowers, and organza trim. Choker necklace, fan, lace gloves, and earrings. Feather and flower head adornment. Smoke and pet free home/studio.

Tonner 16″ Monica Merrill lady is now “Azaria, an Edwardian lady in her finery. Original factory paint removed, repainted, blushed, and sealed with Golden acrylics. Synthetic mohair blonde updo wig. Original acrylic eyes removed. Sea blue/green soft glass eyes were inserted, & applied upper eyelashes. Hand is a Nu Mood hand replacement to hold the fan. Lace trimmed petticoat, pantaloons & stockings. Black shoes with white lace’gaiters’. Trained skirt in lined black silk jacquard, edged with pleated trim. Vintage ivory lace overskirt in pearl beaded embroidered net. White ultra suede bodice and sleeves, with embroidered lace flounces. White pearl seed bead trim choker, & on sleeves and bodice. Coral accents in embroidered trim, silk ribbons, and ribbon flowers. White Venise lace collar with ribbon flowers. Black/white hat, with flowers and feathers. Earrings, bead necklace, & white feather fan. Smoke and pet free home/studio.
