Sitting before a roaring fire, Basil St. John relaxes in a shawl-collared dressing gown. The cuffs & flap pockets are artfully piped, a silky cord knots the waist. The pants match the lining of the dressing gown. A silky scarf, t-shirt, & slippers complete this elegant lounge wear. Made by Tonner Dolls/Effanbee for Basil. John (Brenda Starr’s Boyfriend) this outfit also fits Matt O’Neill, Russell Williams and other similarly sized 17 male Tonner/Effanbee dolls, and is rare amd extremely hard to find, especially mint and never removed from the original box. Evening Masterpiece comes to you NRFB (never removed from its original box) with original white shipper, and the outfit is totally mint. Box has some crushing to the bottom and back (see photo) of box; does not show on display. The pants are packaged under the robe so are hard to see. This item is old store stock. Basil St John is a character from Dale Messicks popular newspaper comics called Brenda Starr reporter that ran for many many years and had quite a following. This is an incredible detailed safari style Hunt For Black Orchid outfit made by Tonner Doll Co about 2004 for Basil. It has NRFB and is hard to find. It fits the 17 Matt body. The jacket and pants are made of a fine olive linen, The jacket is lined in white, long sleeved and snaps at the cuff, four pockets with buttons on the flaps of each, belted at the waist with a silver buckle, the pants are cuffed and have a real zipper in the front, olive pith helmet, white t shirt and dark green socks, zippered heavy black boots! Original box has a little shelf wear.

This outfit is a vintage pilot outfit including a brown bomber jacket, pilot’s hat, khaki pants with pockets on knees, white tee shirt, white dress shirt hidden inside jacket in box! , socks and brown faux leather boots. John comes to you NRFB (never removed from its original box) and the outfit is totally mint. Box has some shelf wear and one boot is slightly untied in the box due to a broken string.
