Betsy McCall / Robert Tonner 13 Doll 1997 #501/503, Outfits, Case, Sailboat, ++. This doll is in pre-owned and gently played with condition. There are several marks on her body on the front, back, hands, and arms. Her hair is in very good condition and has been covered with a hairnet. Her clothing all shows light wear from age. The purple tights that she is wearing have lost their elasticity and the tutu has a loose snap. Several of the pieces of clothes have faint marks. Both pairs of white shoes are coming apart around the seams. The booklets are in good condition with minor wear. Two of the gardening tools have come unglued. The sailboat has marks on the red vinyl and some creasing. The doll carrying case has wear and discoloration on the interior. There are marks and light stains on the exterior. The original cardboard box also shows wear with staining as well. The doll stands approximately 13 inches tall and is stamped RT on each inner thigh. The gingham dress, sailing dress, and plaid outfit have an original Betsy McCall tag. The tutu and the summer garden outfit are not tagged. This is the original outfit which was worn by the long haired 18 Tonner Ann Estelle doll not included. I removed the dress from the doll and packed it away. I never removed the hat or the boat from its original packaging. Drop waist striped dress features classic sailor details, attached belt and a back snap closure. Straw hat has red and white checked ribbon hatband and is still sealed in its original packaging. Two-piece wooden sailboat is still in the original packaging. Red “leather” side buckle shoes with black bead closure. EXTRA: black “leather” side buckle shoes. Two pairs of white ankle socks. The diamond patterned pair was worn by the doll when she arrived, but they look a little stretched out so I have included an EXTRA pair of NEW white stretch ankle socks. This classic summer sailor outfit was never worn or displayed, just stored in my guest room closet. It is wrinkled from storage, but after some TLC it will be enjoyed by your doll for many summers.
